Sinopse:

Ip Man, o mestre das artes marciais ( do estilo de luta Wing Chun ), vive tranquilamente com sua esposa e seu filho em Hong Kong. Quando a escola onde seu filho estuda é atacada por criminosos que fazem parte da Tríade chinesa que trabalha junto com o americano Frank, um homem de negócios e um habilidoso boxeador, Ip Man e seus discípulos usam suas habilidades de luta para combatê-los e impedir que eles tomem a escola. Ao mesmo tempo, Ip Man irá cruzar o caminho de Cheung Tin-Chi, também um lutador de Wing Chun que planeja desafiá-lo e superá-lo para se tornar o Mestre do Wing Chun.

Synopsis:

Ip Man, the master of Wing Chun, lives with his wife and his son in Hong Kong. When the school where his son studies is attacked by criminals who works for the local Triad which acts alongside the american Frank, a businessman and a high-skilled boxer, Ip Man and his disciples use their fighting skills to combat them and stop their plans to take place of the school. At the same time, Ip Man will cross the path of Cheung Tin-Chi, also a Wing Chun fighter who plans to challenge him and defeat him to become the new Grandmaster of Wing Chun.
