Synopsis:

The battleship USS Missouri prepares to its last voyage and a celebration inside the battleship, realized by the Marine Forces. however, during the celebration, they are attacked by a group of terrorist led by Bill Strannix, a former CIA agent, who take control of the battleship, as well its nuclear weapons, and holds the tripulation in hostage. now, the chief Casey Ryback, who was a great soldier of Marine Corps in the past, has to release the tripulation and saves the battleship from the terrorists.

Raiden, o deus do trovão e protetor da Terra, escolhe três lutadores, Liu Kang, Johnny Cage e Sonya Blade, para lutarem no torneio e derrotar o atual campeão Goro, que já vencera o torneio por 9 vezes consecutivas, e o feiticeiro Shang-Tsung, responsável pela realização do torneio em uma ilha distante.

Synopsis:

The story is set around the Mortal Kombat, a martial arts tournament which is realized by the Elder Gods, where the kombatants of Earthrealm fight against the kombatants of Outworld, if any kombatant of Outworld wins the tournament for consecutives ten times, Outworld will have the right to attack and conquer Earthrealm, but if a kombatant of Earthrealm wins the tournament, he can prevent that Earthrealm from any attack of Outworld. Raiden, the god of thunder and protector of Earthrealm, chooses three kombatants, Liu Kang, Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade, to fight in the tournament and defeat Goro, the current champion who has won the tournament for nine times, and the evil sorcerer Shang-Tsung, who realizes the tournament on a distant island.
